Instead of using standard bread crumbs substitute Upper Crust Enterprise Panko bread crumbs, your guests will be pleasantly surprised with the results.
To use Japanese bread crumbs as a crispy top crusting for fish, just lightly mix Panko with olive oil or melted butter, Parmesan cheese, lemon pepper, and garlic, until it’s texture is like wet sand. Gently press seasoned Panko mixture on top of salmon or halibut and bake at 350º until done. The result is a crispy-top crusted fish that was easy and customer pleasing.
To make a salad topping, sauté Panko in oil or butter until brown and toasted, add parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic powder and black pepper. Set aside and use as needed to add crispiness to salads, pasta or vegetables.
